A Loving Rivalry activation
Notable HBCU’s, Morheouse College and Howard University inaugural Football classic in New York City. Game played at MetLife Stadium, developed merchandise for the game in celebration of the first time the HBCU Culture was embraced in the Big Apple.

HBCU Football Classic Brand Logo Design. With this logo, I looked to incorporate the city of where the game was taking place, with the silhouette of the statue of liberty. Called a loving rivalry, exemplifying the playful yet tense relationship between both institutions.

The idea was to go to every lids store and buy all of the maroon and navy-blue Yankee hats to sell at store front in Soho. It started with taking the logo and building a prototype on a Padres hat.

Different versions of thread used on hats. Trial and error, and wasting about five hats.

Had the idea to add each school motto on back of hats to distinguish, for those who didn't know the school colors.

Created "I heart" university t shirts, showing homage to Milton Glaser, originator of notoriously known " I Heart NY" slogan and logo.
